The pig forum is set to focus on themes such as management and information systems in the pig sty, modern procedures for improving sow reproduction, raising piglet weight and optimising pen climate as well as efficient pig farming using high-performance genetics and modern feed.
The 2010 event aims to carry forward the discussion on the expansion of national pig production. Now that a programme has been set up to promote the establishment of centres for pig selection and genetics, AgroFarm 2010 is organising a Round Table to deliberate the next steps to take to advance development in this sector along with ways of improving cooperation between the newly established breeding centres and pig farmers.
The event scheduled to take place subsequently will look at ways of organising breeding work in commercial pig production enterprises. Here Russian and European pig breeders will exchange their experience.
