AgroFarm has made a name for itself as the exhibition for professional animal production in Russia


With some 7,700 visitors from large farms located throughout Russia, AgroFarm has once again proved itself to be an excellent platform for the professional animal husbandry sector. This second time around saw a 13 % increase in the number of visitors compared to last year’s première.

Substantial increase in numbers at AgroFarm 2008


APK VVC (Moscow) and the DLG-Agriservice, a subsidiary of DLG (Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft, German Agricultural Society, Frankfurt am Main), organisers of the International Exhibition for Animal Husbandry and Breeding, AgroFarm 2008, have reported a very good outcome with regard to the number of exhibitor registrations. From 24 to 26 April, some 130 exhibitors will be presenting an extensive range of professional dairy, beef and pig production technologies at the VVC grounds (All-Russian Exhibition Centre) in Moscow, which will also be showcasing poultry production and aquaculture, too.

AgroFarm 2008 Preview shows Russia's animal production in advanced development


At a preview for the AgroFarm exhibition held at DLG's headquarters in Frankfurt, some 70 experts and companies presented viable strategies for the Russian animal production market. Investment planning and financing strategies were discussed, along with the technical solutions required for this market.

AgroFarm accepted in Ministry of Agriculture’s foreign exhibitions programme 2008


The Federal Ministry of Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection (BMELV) notified the organisers at the beginning of December that it has included AgroFarm 2008 in the BMELV foreign exhibitions programme at short notice. There are plans to organise a government-promoted joint German stand within the scope of Germany’s participation. This will make it possible for exhibitors to take part in AgroFarm at reduced rates under the banner “Made in Germany”.

The tender proceedings for implementing companies will run from December to January.

Exhibitors who would like to participate via the joint German stand can indicate this in advance in an email to agrofarm@dlg.org.


AgroFarm’s Successful Moscow Première


The premiere of the first International Exhibition for Animal Husbandry and Livestock Breeding in the Russian capital Moscow was a success. From 19 through to 21 June 2007, some 120 exhibitors from eleven countries presented modern genetics as well as livestock-keeping and feeding technology for pigs and cattle. With 6,800 trade visitors from all parts of Russia, the event organisers were able to generate a very good response. Indeed, organisers and exhibitors alike were very pleased with AgroFarm’s first showing here, both in terms of the way the exhibition ran and the outcomes it generated.

The Russian Ministry of Agriculture welcomes AgroFarm Exhibition


At a recent meeting attended by representatives from the Russian animal husbandry business, Ivan Rozhdestvensky, Director of the Livestock Farming and Veterinary Department of the Russian Agricultural Ministry, underlined the importance of creating a platform that caters for the animal husbandry profession. Concluding the meeting, the ministry called for active participation on the part of companies and organizations at AgroFarm 2007, the international exhibition for animal husbandry and breeding.

Huge market potential for animal husbandry and breeding in Russia


As part of an AgroFarm workshop on 26 February 2007, the DLG (German Agricultural Society), together with experts from industry and commerce, explained the opportunities and risks associated with doing business in Russia. The event focused particularly on the question of how to gain access to and succeed in the Russian animal husbandry and breeding markets.
