AgroFarm Technical Programme – Agricultural Know-how for Tomorrow’s Live-stock Production
Keeping up to date with the latest technical know-how is absolutely vital in modern animal production. AgroFarm offers you a “learning workshop” in the true sense - which means keeping up couldn’t be easier.
Forums and conferences
How can food crises be avoided? This theme tops the agenda of the Russian Government and the livestock production sector. And for this reason it will also be a leading question –and one that we aim to find answers to – at the technical forums and conferences within the scope of AgroFarm 2009. Another key focus here will be on the influence the state has in terms of price-setting for agricultural products.
The forums and conferences on cattle, pig, poultry, goats, sheep and fish (aquaculture) are scheduled to focus on the following aspects:
- Animal breeding
- Feeding and livestock management
- Treatment and prevention of disease
- Modernisation of livestock production farms
- Optimising production in order to raise competitive capacity
AgroFarm Live Shows
It’s not all theory! Besides the breeding animals on show on the stands in the animal halls, animal shows are organised daily in the AgroFarm Ring. These shows give you a concise overview of the genetics of leading Russian and international livestock. The demonstrations of professional hoof and udder care proved to be a particular visitor magnet in 2008 and are therefore set to be extended to other animal species in 2009.
