AgroFarm, the international exhibition for animal husbandry and breeding, is being held for the fourth time this year and is already well established as the exhibition for leading-edge technologies and innovative solutions in professional animal husbandry. The products offered at AgroFarm respond precisely to the challenges of the Russian market and are thus extremely well received by the Russian users.
AgroFarm is the platform that was launched to develop Russian animal production. For this reason two categories of awards for exhibits that address the Russian market in particular are presented at AgroFarm.
The “Best Product – AgroFarm 2010” award highlights products that display a particularly high benefit in improving the efficiency of animal production in Russia.
The “Best Service – AgroFarm 2010” award goes to firms that offer their Russian customers in the animal segment particularly good service.
The award winners for 2010 were selected from among 21 submissions received by an independent commission of experts. The commission is made up of Nikolai Burjakov – Professor at the Russian State Agricultural University “Moscow Agricultural Academy Namen K.A. Timirjasev”, Dmitriy Kasanskiy – Director of the Technical Testing Station for Animal Technology “Podolskaja MIS”, and Andrey Tolokonzev – Deputy Director General OOO “Agrofirma Mortadel”
The “Best Product – AgroFarm 2010” award has been won by six products – a feeder mixer wagons from the V-Mix plus series of the firm BvL Bernard van Lengerich, a feeding management system for lactating sows Gestal FM from JYGA, a self-propelled feeder mixer wagon from SILOKING, the Huber soft bed type “Ametist” from the firm Huber Technik, a milking apparatus with transparent milking cups from the firm Dogger, and the milk replacer “Mologa-Premium” from the Mologa Group.
The firm BvL Bernard van Lengerich from Emsbüren in Germany is presenting the innovative vertical mixer wagon V-Mix 10-N12 from the V-Mix plus series at AgroFarm. This unites the advantages of the entire series. As a product “Made in Germany”, it guarantees high quality, gentle feed mixing and safe travel, uniform fodder delivery, reliability and a long service life, robustness, safety and high degree of comfort. The BvL mixing auger is driven by an extremely robust planetary gearbox developed specially for feeder mixer wagon technology with oil bath bearings. The feeder mixer wagon also features a special welded structure and the use of high wear-resistant “Hardox” scraper edges at the auger uptake and the second discharge arm as well as 8 mm thick container walls made of St52-3 and a 20 mm thick base plate in St52-3.
GESTAL FM from the Canadian manufacturer JYGA is a unique and innovative feeding management system developed especially for lactating sows. It takes the age, pregnancy and condition of the animal into account. GESTAL FM manages the feeding curve of each sow individually and thus minimises excessive use of feed. The compact design of the operating panel makes it possible to adapt Gestal FM to new or already existing feed distribution systems. It is very user-kindly and self-explanatory, so that no special training measures are necessary. GESTAL FM is subject to strict quality checks before the product is dispatched to customers.
The firm MAYER Maschinenbaugesellschaft mbH from Tittmoning produces machinery and equipment “Made in Germany” under the brand name “SILOKING”, making nearly all the parts itself. The company, based in Upper Bavaria, is presenting the world’s first self-propelled feed mixer SILOKING self-propelled “System 1000plus” with a loading capacity of 30 m³. The mixing performance of the three-auger mixing unit is tuned exactly to the particularly high collecting capacity of the chopper. Featuring the novel “Dyna Power Chassis” with three air-suspension axles and a drive output of 200 kW (272 hp), the machine is particularly suitable for large farms and agricultural contractors, as well as for biogas plants. The three axles also increase the allowable payload of the machine quite substantially, for road transport at up to 40 km/h too. The concept of the collecting chopper with 42 knives and integrated ejector shovels ensuring gentle handling of the feed, like the mixing unit concept with large turbo augers running at low speed, ideally round off the overall design of the “System 1000plus”.
The soft cow mattress Huber type Ametist from the firms Ametist from Roschal and Huber Technik from Erding displays high stability and a long service life, qualities that are very much appreciated on the Russian market. The production of this mattress system is a German-Russian cooperation. The polyurethane foamed material base is produced by the Russian firm Ametist from Roschal in the Moscow region. The top layer comes from Huber Technik based in Erding in Germany. The very thick top mat (8 mm) is particularly suitable for the Russian market, as it withstands the temperature differences between summer and winter there. The foamed material panels are packaged individually in special plastic sheeting, increasing the long service life of the system by inhibiting moisture infiltration. Furthermore the Huber soft bed type Ametist requires only a low level of care.
The firm OOO Dogger from Ryazan has been selected for an award in the category “Best Product – Agrofarm2010” for its teat cup cluster with transparent milking cups DAD-01. Special features are the large volume of the collector (450 cm³) and modern hygienic materials that create gentle and stress-free milking, thus ruling out teat injuries and consequently mastitis complaints and so extending the productivity life of the animal. The size-optimised milking cup, milking tube and collector top made of transparent materials allow visual inspection of the milking process. The optimal size and outstanding design support faster and more comfortable handling of the milking teat cups. The cluster can be assembled and dismantled very quickly. The smooth inner surface and the lack of edges make thorough cleaning possible even without using cleaning agents. The patented design of the teat rubber allows complete strip milking. The teat rubber and the milking tube made of silicone are particularly suitable for climate conditions prevailing in Russia and have a longer service life. For bucket milking, the milking parlour has a light signal in case the bucket overflows. The milking cluster can thus be used on small farms as well as on “mega” farms.
The Mologa Group is presenting an innovative product at AgroFarm 2010 – the milk substitute for calves “Mologa-Premium” for calf rearing. At present large volumes of milk are used in Russia to feed calves (10 to 15% of annual milk production), which substantially reduces its market share and is one of the reasons for cuts in delivery volumes to processing dairies. “Mologa-Premium” increases the sales quantities of “released” milk and distinctly reduces the costs of rearing the young animals, producing an enormous economic effect for the livestock farms. The newly developed formula of “Mologa-Premium” contains protein substances, fats and carbohydrates in an ideal ratio. The composition of vitamins, mineral substances and amino acids is well balanced, which has a positive effect on digestion of the product. The use of the milk replacer instead of milk ensures dynamic growth and correct physiological development of the calves. The stable veterinary-hygiene and animal-hygiene quality of “Mologa-Premium” provides a long-term perspective and thus ensures high milk productivity and maintenance of the animal stocks.
The “Best Service – AgroFarm 2010” award went to the firm TransFaire-Agro from Saint Petersburg.
This Russian-French company founded in 1992 offers project planning, delivery, commissioning and product servicing for milk production and milk processing from leading international manufacturers. The service territory of TransFaire-Agro comprises most of Russia. Service and technical support are offered not only for machinery and equipment delivered via TransFaire-Agro, but also for that from other suppliers.
