Exhibitors and Visitors about AgroFarm 2013
We have been attending AgroFarm from the very start, and notice the constant change towards increased and more challenging technology. Customers are becoming more demanding. They are more clued in to technology and the demand for this technology is growing year on year. This means that the visitors to our stand are becoming more knowledgeable too. AgroFarm enables us to reach out to this audience.
We have set ourselves the goal of being a leader in the field of innovative technology. The Best Product Award we received at AgroFarm 2013 does a lot to motivate employees within the company. Of course externally too, it does a lot to promote our image on the Russian market. For many people, the fact that something has received an official "best product" award automatically increases their trust in the product.
What did I like about AgroFarm? We were very happy with the visitors to our stand - the quality had improved immensely. In fact, I was genuinely surprised by the calibre of visitor. Investments are planned. And then the stands are very clean. Every aspect of the event was top quality, and that has impressed me very much.
Georg Mayer, General Manager, Mayer Maschinenbaugesellschaft mbH
I believe the biggest difference between AgroFarm and other exhibitions at the moment is that AgroFarm is simply more modern. It offers all of the facilities we see here in this state-of-the-art hall, meeting international standards. This is not the case at all trade fair venues. We are pleased, therefore, that we have been able to secure a stand at this exhibition, allowing us to present our products and fly our company flag in Russia.
Now that we have started to exhibit at AgroFarm, we would like to continue doing so. We want to contribute to the fact that the feed industry is changing here in Russia and is moving with the times. Exhibiting our products and presenting our company here in this modern hall will help us do just that.
Michael Winkler, Director Sales and Services, Eastern Europe, Evonik Industries AG
I am growing increasingly fond of AgroFarm as a trade fair. We like exhibiting here, and AgroFarm is a very important event for maraTEC. It has undergone very positive developments in recent years, and is getting bigger, as are competitors and their stands. The stand we had here was the largest one maraTEC has ever had at a trade fair. We use the exhibition primarily to engage with our customers. We are currently acquiring new customers and invited them here to discuss our technology, equipment and know-how. AgroFarm is an ideal platform for discussing these topics, given its central location in Moscow. We can sit down with our customers, discuss and further develop their projects, before moving on to implementation.
Being in hall 75 is a very positive experience. It is a lot brighter and the vibrant atmosphere here makes a lot better an impression on customers and on us as exhibitors. I also notice that attendance here is somewhat higher than at previous events, which means that there are more potential customers at this year's exhibition. That is a good sign, and of course we are trying to use this fact, in order to improve maraTEC's position on the Russian market.
André Faykisch, Authorised Officer, maraTEC. INTERNATIONAL GmbH
AF is developing significantly and is a good exhibition to take part in. We have acquired good contacts and yes, I’m happy with this exhibition.
We had different types of visitors, big groups of farmers. We had opportunities to meet the people we are already in contact with and we also made additional new contacts. That’s the most import point. We use AgroFarm to meet potential partners, to find partners for the project to set up nucleus farmers.
France Perrot, Direct of International Development, PenARLan Choice Genetics
We are here at AgroFarm for the very first time. We’ve been to another Russian exhibition as well, but it seems like this is more organized and we are very open-minded about attending again the next time.
Our company sells equipment for dairy and pig farms, all manufactured in Denmark. We want to establish ourselves on the Russian market and just opened our office here a week ago here, so this is one of the reasons we have to be at this show.
I like the way both the show and the halls have been organized. In the exhibitions, the pig people are together in the pig section and the dairy area with the dairy exhibitors is located at the other end of the hall. This makes it very easy for people to find the right stands I think.
It’s my impression that it is really the decision-makers who come here, it’s not only visitors who come because they want to see what’s going on. It really people who are interested in your products and can make decisions about what they want to buy.
John Kongsgaard, Export Manager, Jyden Bur A/S
We decided to take part in this year’s exhibition, as it has steadily become more important. Our participation in AgroFarm totally met our expectations. We were able to identify two different customer profiles. Firstly, the customers with whom we have already been working for a few years. Thanks to the exhibition, they meet at a single venue and they come in order to gather information about our developments and our new products, as well as to see us. Secondly, we have the customers who do not know us yet and who are either accompanying our existing customers or visit our stand by chance, out of curiosity.
The differences between AgroFarm and other exhibitions and trade fairs lie above all in the more national character, this gives us a chance to meet a large number of specialized animal farmers from the various fields of specialization. And the Russian animal farmers at the exhibition come from nearly all sectors. We meet farmers who keep pigs, as well as those who keep poultry, cattle and rabbits – corresponding precisely to our fields of business.
In our opinion this national orientation of the exhibition gives us the opportunity to increase our presence on Russian farms.
Jean-Luc Martin, General Manager, TUFFIGO RAPIDEX
When we heard that other companies in the poultry sector were taking part in AgroFarm, we decided to register too.
This is our first time here, but definitely not our last. We will present our technologies here again next year, as we always exhibit a selection of our range at exhibitions, in order to show people our new products.
I liked a lot of things, from the way the exhibition was organized to the large number of visitors. I think it is the number one exhibition for exhibitors to meet customers, and I enjoyed it immensely.
Galina Nikolova, Zucami's company representative in Russia
AgroFarm allows us to meet people that we wouldn’t otherwise be able to and gives us a chance just to get our names out there and have some conversations with people, find out what their needs are, and what questions they have. It’s a chance to really make more contacts and hopefully answer questions and help develop our business as well as help them develop theirs.
We met a lot of meat people here and also have had some discussions about partnership being created between Montana in the United States and producers here in Russia and help bring some quality animals over here and some of our knowledge to help develop the agricultural market here. We’d like to help Russia… to raise cattle the way we raise cattle in Montana and to help create those partnerships. That’s really our plans - just to bring what we know and how we do things in the US to Russia.
Seth Broesder, Sales Manager, Montana Cattle
We take part in a lot of exhibitions worldwide and are able to observe the exhibition landscape in many countries, including Russia. We have noticed that AgroFarm is now becoming increasingly popular among our customers, prompting us to take part in the exhibition this year. The organizers are very pleasant to deal with. People are very loyal towards us and there is a friendly atmosphere. The stands are solidly built, which distinguishes AgroFarm from other exhibitions. This has motivated us to continue exhibiting here. The exhibition is widely recognized and we are convinced that participation will be worthwhile.
Our company received awards in two categories "AgroFarm Best Product" and "AgroFarm Best Service". We hold these awards in high esteem as it is indeed an honour to take part in such competitions and win prizes. We prepare for the awards in advance, and these preparations are reflected in the quality of our products and in the high-calibre services we offer. These awards are therefore an additional incentive to keep producing top-quality products and continue participating in the exhibition. Investing in these areas is the right decision.
Gennadiy Malevany, General Manager, manufacturing group TEXHA
The first outstanding feature of AgroFarm is the modern, yet comfortable, hall. It is a pleasure for all visitors to visit the spacious exhibition area, which is flooded with light. I also notice that the exhibition has expanded in terms of exhibitor numbers. I am pleased to see that AgroFarm is becoming more comprehensive and innovative. If you take a look at the exhibition stands, you will see that a lot of money has been spent on assembling attractive and appealing stands, which testifies to the strong level of interest among exhibitors.
Vladimir Labinov, Director of the Department of Animal Production and Breeding of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture
AgroFarm has expanded and become prestigious. Russian manufacturers are now also represented, which testifies to the exhibition's success. In general, I would like to see more Russian exhibitors exhibiting here in Russia.
I would like to congratulate the organizers of this year's event and thank them for what they have achieved. Acquiring good exhibitors is no easy task. This was particularly difficult at the start, and required organizers to be both determined and talented. They have been able to persevere, however, and have continued to develop their role over the years.
Sergey Lisovskiy, First Deputy Chairman of the Committee of the Federation Council for Agricultural and Food Policy and the Use of Natural Resources
AgroFarm has developed significantly, as have the working relationships we have been able to forge here. Whereas the number of potential customers was quite low at the start, there has been a very noticeable increase in numbers. AgroFarm attracts a very wide range of customers who are interested in what we have to offer. These include family-run businesses, large-scale investors and representatives of the administrations in diverse regions of Russia. It is therefore a very interesting and eventful exhibition for us. As the exhibition has developed, so too has the level of interest in our products and our presence is continually increasing.
Nikolay Timoshenko, President for Russia, the Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Central Asia and the Southern Caucasus, ZAO DeLaval
The main argument prompting Cooperl to take part in this exhibition is to participate in a specialist trade fair for animal husbandry. Agrofarm has confirmed that it is THE exhibition which we should attend in order to pursue our goal of introducing our product programme for pig farming in Russia, because we are a new actor on the stage there.
Our first impression is quite positive, as this is an extremely professional exhibition with visitors from very specific specialist target groups. They come with a clearly defined project, with clearly defined plans and gather information in this connection. The first impression is therefore positive. It confirms that this is a high-quality exhibition for professional animal farmers.
We hope that it will help us to develop our business in this market. Naturally the fact that we have won the best product award has helped us to establish a few contacts and arouse interest.
Xavier Mear, Export Manager, Cooperl
We are very impressed by Agrofarm. The place is thronged with customers from throughout Russia - from Kaliningrad to Sachalin and Kamtschatka. People are showing a lot of interest in our stand, which is always full of visitors. We are very pleased with this, of course, and have signed a lot of business deals. We plan to take part next year, too.
Participating in AgroFarm has been a pleasure. Our company, which is young and dynamic, has launched an innovative product that is in demand all over Russia. We are therefore very glad to have exhibited here, because we have been able to attract a very wide range of potential customers from all corners of the country.
Pavel Bruzhmelev, General Manager, OOO Profi-Agropark
I was pleasantly surprised that visitors to our stand were so professional and well-prepared. They had looked at our websites and consulted the internet to find out what we do. People had a very definite idea of their expectations and what services they assume we will deliver.
We found the conference on housing climate technology particularly interesting. I have been very passionate about this area for the past 20-25 years, and the conference gave us the opportunity to present how we approach issues in this field.
Karel Líkař, Chairman of the Board, Bauer-Technics Group
The organization was impeccable. The stands were assembled in a quick and orderly manner. I also liked the fact that the exhibition started punctually and in an organized fashion. We will definitely take part in AgroFarm next year.
Our product Controller Platinum Junior was nominated in the "AgroFarm Best Product" category, which we found very moving and gratifying, as we have invested a lot of energy and ideas into developing it. It continues the tradition of innovative technologies at Rotem. These technologies allow us to apply the concept of food safety at a practical level. I hope that Russian farmers recognize the merits of our product, which aims first and foremost to improve productivity and product quality, and that they view it with interest.
Leonid Feldman, Area Manager CIS, Rotem
The quality of visitors at AgroFarm continues to improve. One reason for this is that Russia has already acquired a wide range of technologies and results are now evident. AgroFarm offers visitors a forum for talking about them and exchanging opinions. Customers can already choose from a number of improved, best-practice alternatives. As a result, they can consciously decide to buy the technology that suits them best.
As regards the Technical Programme, I believe AgroFarm is the most successful exhibition there is: Seminars, conferences, and a range of different events are planned in the run-up to the event. Here, specialists can exchange experience, give presentations and discuss current issues.
We took part in the Special Information Centre "Energy-saving housing climate technology for animal husbandry and poultry keeping", as we believe that this sub-sector is of crucial importance today, above all because the housing climate has a big impact on the productivity of animals and poultry. We therefore also place great emphasis on this sector and are developing new technologies in this field. In particular, we presented effective cooling systems and energy-saving systems for recuperating heat for livestock farms because we believe that these are two particularly important components of housing climate technology and we are one of the leading companies in this field.
Our potential customers always attend AgroFarm, so we therefore intend to continue participating in the event. Of even greater importance for us however, is that people engage in direct dialogue at the event. AgroFarm is now one of the world's leading exhibitions and it gives us an energy boost for the year ahead. This was our first time at AgroFarm. It is growing bigger in both size and importance, because it is a specialist exhibition. I believe that this is one of the main reasons the exhibition is so significant, as visitors come here with a specific objective. And if you assess AgroFarm in terms of 'results achieved', then it is the most result-oriented exhibition for livestock and poultry farming in Russia.
Igor Ilyin, General Manager, OOO AgroProjektInvest
We came to AgroFarm to see what is on display in the area of animal breeding, particularly pig breeding, and to see what services breeding farms have to offer. We also want to see what technology is available for pig farming and choose what we need to rebuild our farm. So, in a nutshell, we are here to find out more about technology and breeding.
What we have seen has made a good impression. We can use some of the products on display, which include equipment from Russia and from further afield. Now it's just a matter of deciding what we need.
Andrey Tretyakov, head of pig farming, OOO Treneks, visitor
AgroFarm is a very good exhibition. A lot of our partners are here, and we have been able to meet with them all to discuss plans for continuing to work and cooperate together. I would like to thank the organizers for all they have done to put this event together. Everything has been perfect. The thing I liked most about this exhibition was the quality of the event- from the excellent organization, the organizers' friendly manner, the quality of the stands to the level of security.
Igor Sedletsky, Business Development Director, Richarts Meyer, visitor
I liked the way the exhibition as a whole was organized. AgroFarm is a diverse, comprehensive and inspiring trade fair. I have been coming here since 2007. We make every effort to attend each year. AgroFarm is constantly developing and becoming more modern. Thanks to the implementation of new trends, the agricultural sector as a whole is changing, which means that this exhibition is also constantly experiencing innovative developments and moving with the times. At AgroFarm, our expectations are always fulfilled - we always find what we are looking for. As I keep saying, the agricultural sector is constantly changing and developing. This means that innovating our existing knowledge and products is never too big a task, but always an interesting and informative one.
Dmitry Fillipov, Deputy General Manager in the area of animal husbandry at Agromir, visitor
We represent the agribusiness holding Sangilen from the Krasnojarsk region in Siberia, and specialize in producing wheat. We are starting to develop our livestock farming business and our specialists would like to know what is offered by different companies in this area. Our field of interest is very well represented at AgroFarm, and we are confident that we will meet valuable partners here. This is the first time that I have attended an event like this. I find the exhibition very interesting and informative, and have learned a lot.
Roman Danekin, Manager of the feed division, Agribusiness holding Sangilen+, visitor
From my point of view AgroFarm is really good exhibition, the organization is fantastic, everything is so clear where it is and the space is big, so you can relax and really enjoy the exhibition.
In comparison with previous events this time the organization was better, because all information was provided earlier, so it was much easier this time to coordinate with people’s agenda and to set up meetings. I believe that AgroFarm is more specific, and it is easier here to approach the people you are interested in.
What I liked most was the possibility to meet a lot of people from this big country. Everybody is in the same place at the same time, which is really nice.
Juan Escobar, commercial director, SPS, visitor
AgroFarm has developed significantly in 2013. Compared with the previous event, the number of exhibitors increased by 20% to 333 companies, and the exhibition area increased by 22% to 15,000 m². The number of visitors also grew by 5% to 9,800 specialists. With about half the exhibitors coming from outside Russia, the 2013 exhibition also displayed considerably more international flair. Companies from 28 countries presented their products and services to livestock farmers from Russia. 44 exhibitors came from Germany, accounting for the largest contingent of non-Russian companies. There was also strong attendance by companies from France, Denmark, the United States, the Netherlands, Italy, Canada, Spain and Turkey.
